Re: My Italy
Hi Viktor.
very amazing!
I saw the servo switchs are faraway from the turnouts (about at 4' 30"), how do they work? could you please make us show the operation of them by pictures or video?
thank you so much.

Re: My Italy
Hi all,
please let me wish you and your family a great year 2021!
@ E656BB
Here some pictures...
Do you know original FS track-switches in 1:87? I imagine that I alredy did see those, but I can't remenber the supplier...
For a better acoustic, I glued the actuator on some foam. Now you hear really nothing!
And now I want you to show my newes clip of some trains between Imperia and Mauricio. I know that the trains don't really fit together, honestly spoken I took what I coud get ... next time I'll try hard

I don't like to have the actuators unter the board as I feel very uncomfortable whike assembling. So I decided to put it next to the track, so that I can do the assembly from above. Of course, later on when the scenery is done and a actuator will fail, I have to destroy the scenery, but again all from above. In 10 years I will report my experiences ...I saw the servo switchs are faraway from the turnouts (about at 4' 30"), how do they work? could you please make us show the operation of them by pictures or video?
thank you so much.

Re: My Italy
Hi Viktor,
great start, keep going.
I also use the tillig tracks and points, for the visible one, you can look for the casting of the italian electric point motors.
Will make some pictures in the next days if someone does not post earlier.
Where are you in Germany? I live close to KL.

Re: My Italy
Hello all,
@ Maurizio:
I live close to Nuremberg in Bavaria.
@ all:
It would be great, if you will help me with following issue.
In parallel to my work on model railroad layout I try to understand the signalling system at FS. As later on I will have to implement signals and I will have to think about how to switch them with my software (traincontroller). But first of all I need to understant the reality.
Therefore I created the following pictures. This are the situations I will have on my railroad. Hopefully they are self-explanatory.
Do I have the right understanding?
I found this supplier for signals. Do you use those signals?
https://www.fermodellismo.it/pcita/shop ... erca&rg=48
Thanh you for your help!
Best Regards,
Viktor

Re: My Italy
There is an error also in the transit on track 2, you can't do a transit like that; the correct colours from left to right are yellow/green, red/yellow, then red until the train is completely on track 2, then green

Re: My Italy
Hello together,
@ mazy: Thank you for your input! I will resprct it. (Even if I would have liked a binking signal )
@ Elmeon: Also thank you for your feedback! One additional question to your comment: Must the train really stop (V = 0 km/h) before green ascect can be shown, or is is ok when the last turnout is free and train is still rolling? And may be you can explain WHY ascect is not allowed to show green from beginning? (In Germany there are also tracks that can only be used for arriving or leaving, not for transit. On those tracks you must stop first (v = 0 km/h), and then you can go on with green ascect. Because of circuit in signal box.)
Thank you for additional feedback upfront! It really helps me a lot!!!
Bye
Viktor

Re: My Italy
Hallo,
normally you do not have a transit on the diverging route of a point, so normally you transit on track 3.
This is due to the 30kph limit on the diverging route (some more modern points (2000 and later) in stations have 60kph).
Therefore track 2 should normally be used for meets and not for transit.

Re: My Italy
Hello Viktor, usually the train have to free the last turnout and be in the track circuit of the platform to have a green aspect at the departing signal; so it's possibile to have a train still rolling but fully on track 2 before having the green at the signal!Viktor ha scritto: @ Elmeon: Also thank you for your feedback!
